Audition Technique - Acting and Monologues
Event Information
About this Event
Join Briliant Theatre Arts for a month of online workshops focused solely on audition technique - ideal for those auditioning for drama schools or colleges this year, or for young performers wishing to hone their skills in preparation for this.
Emily trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (BA Acting) and enjoys a varied career. Acting highlights include roles in popular BBC and ITV Dramas, performing in the West End, at The Royal Court and Soho Theatre.
Emily has been a visiting lecturer at Central for over 15 years. She regularly teaches Audition Technique and has a lot of experience of helping young performers reach their full potential. She has helped aspiring actors to gain places at many drama schools including RADA, Central and LAMDA. As an actor, and having been a member of the audition panel at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Emily knows what it's like to be on both sides of the panel.
Emily will be leading a rigorous workshop on acting and monologue prep, with opportunities for individual feedback on a contemporary or classical monologue during the session (no more than two minutes). She will also give some of her top tips for performing in front of a panel / online, ensuring you are well prepared for your upcoming auditions.
Recommended for those aged 15 and above (those aged 13 and 14 permitted to attend, but understand this workshop will be rigorous).
As part of Brilliant Theatre Arts Audition Technique Workshops.
