About this event
“Auralisations in Creative Design” will cover how simulating an acoustic environment can be used as a creative process, used by artists and architects to help shape their design. From location based recordings, building acoustic models, and perception testing, this process helps collaboration with designers along their journey. This innovative method of working is used in Calum’s everyday work. He will present an example of how this was successfully driven for the work he did for Musicity Global's recent sound-art project.
Calum is a London based Acoustician at Arup, who explores how immersive technologies and sound art techniques can be used to communicate engineering design.
