Austen Birthday Bash Afternoon Tea Party

Join us for a perfectly delectable tea party in the gorgeous De Grey Rooms for a truly regency afternoon.

Our afternoon starts in honour of Jane with a quiz about her life and works- will your team win our bookish prize?

We will then be “Taking Tea” accompanied by the gorgeous melodies of Vitula String Duo. You are sure to be satiated by our selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes (please email with any dietary requirements on booking dancethepast@gmail.com)

After tea you’ll be able to participate in an abundance of regency themed crafts and activities with a few goodies of your own to take home! Make your own bookmark or card to take home, write a regency letter to your latest suitor, learn the language of the fan and play a hand of whist.

Then it's time to get your dancing shoes on to learn some regency dances in preparation for tonight's ball. Not coming to the ball? No worries, come along anyway to learn how to boogie with Mr Darcy!

Regency costume encouraged.
Doors 12pm for a 12:30pm start.

Tickets £30 to include sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee and a Goodie Bag.
