Event Details

A great opportunity to hear some top tips from our key note speaker, Adrian McDonagh, on engaging the modern jobseeker in an authentic conversation. Adrian will discuss how the way jobseekers discover, research & communicate with potential employers has changed dramatically. He will show you how to use the right tools and techniques to capture their attention & engage them in an authentic conversation.

Following on from this there will be a speed networking session with others who are passionate about People Management and ‘Improving working Lives’. Be prepared to make new contacts so bring business cards!

We aim to create a warm, relaxed environment where everyone can unwind a little after a busy day at work and enjoy some good company that understands the triumphs, tribulations and dilemmas of people management. This is a good chance to meet other HR practitioners, discuss industry hot topics, offer or receive support, have a drink and make new friends. We will be serving complimentary mulled wine (alcohol free) and mince pie and end the evening with a raffle!

Adrian McDonagh -  Founder EasyWeb Recruitment: Adrian oversees the training and technology teams at EasyWeb. His formal job title is “Chief Ideas Officer” which probably says more about his personality than what his job entails. The best explanation we could get from him was “Part-time trainer, part-time product manager, part-time business owner, full-time online recruitment ninja” – make of that what you will.

Safia Boot – Chairman CIPD Milton Keynes Group & Founder Respect at Work Limited.Due to her passion for learning and supporting her HR colleagues to develop best practice, Safia has provided leadership to the CIPD MK Group for well over a decade. She is highly regarded in the private and public sector as an independent HR/ER Consultant, Trainer, Mediator and Independent Investigator (for complex/high risk discrimination, bullying, harassment and misconduct or other sensitive cases including malicious and vexatious complainants). She has particular expertise in the practical application of diversity and inclusion and dealing with conflict management. She has an active social media presence. Safia was honoured to be a Finalist in the 2016 MK Women Leaders Awards (Professional Services Category)

Kirsty Askwith – Treasuer CIPD & Former HR Manager at a thriving MK Technology business, Silverbug Ltd. After serving more than a decade at Silverbug Kirsty is taking a well earned opportunity to rebalance her work-life prioriites and re-explore her former interior design skills as she renovates her new home.  Kirsty achieved an MA in Human Resource Management and BA in Design & Technology for the Fashion Industry. Her previous background is in Retail working on a freelance and employed basis supporting various prestigious fashion show preparations.  Kirsty is a true professional, with an eye to detail, bags of enthusiasm and a natural style for team working.
