We're revisiting Edinburgh Book Festival events from 2025. Let's watch together and have a chat about books!

Bursting onto the literary scene with her skilful debut, After You’d Gone, Maggie O’Farrell has remained an inimitable creative force ever since.

This event celebrates her 25th anniversary as a beloved writer of works encompassing her breathtaking memoir I Am, I Am, I Am; captivating The Marriage Portrait; and acclaimed Hamnet (now a major new film starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley).

Join O'Farrell for a fascinating and lively reflection on her writing life and unforgettable stories. Chaired by Book Festival director Jenny Niven.

The streaming will begin at 6.30pm and we'll meet at 6pm to chat about our favourite O'Farrell books, including Hamnet.
