About this session
Learn more about the female presentation of autism. It differs very much from the male presentation. The female presentation of Autism is challenging to unpick, and many young girls go undiagnosed into adulthood. This session explores the different ways in which Autism presents in girls and how it differs from the male presentation.
Do you work with girls who suffer from high levels of anxiety?
Do they have difficulties dealing with social situations and being around unfamiliar people?
Is their attendance at school suffering?
There is also a Question & Answer session built in for those of you with specific issues to raise.

Session Leader: Nicola Durrant
This session is led by Nicola Durrant, an Autism Specialist Teacher and Consultant as well as being a Mum to an amazing Autistic daughter. She worked as a SENCO for eight years and a specialist advisor for 13 years while also training as dyslexia assessor and gaining a Master’s degree in Autism. As an independent specialist teacher Nicola has a proven track record of first-class support and advice for parents and teachers and is a Director of SEND Station.
