Anxiety is something than can effect the lives of many people and Autistic people are no exception. However, the triggers and drivers, as well as the way it manifests itself can be different and difficult for non-autistic parents and professionals supporting to understand.
Alongside this, it can often be hard for many young people on the spectrum to have the emotional language an literacy to begin to explore and understand or explain anxiety and other emotions.
BISnet trainer Sam Harris has been working with young Autistic people for over 10 years and has spent the last 5 talking to them and helping them with feelings of anxiety. In this online webinar you will cover:
* Look at the basics of anxiety
* Explore how it might be experienced and brought about for Autistic young people
* Consider how to support a young Autistic person displaying or expressing difficulties with Anxiety
