    This course will be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams.

    How will I receive the Microsoft Teams link for the course?

    You will receive a link to join the virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams no later than the morning of the scheduled course date. Please check your email inbox (and spam folder) for this link. The email will come from communityengagement@citizensadvicemidmercia.org.uk.

    How long is the course?

    The course is a single session that will last approximately one and a half hours, including a five-minute break halfway through.

    What topics will be covered in the course?

    The course will cover will equip you with a wide understanding of autism, including neurodivergence, communication and sensory challenges faced by autistic individuals, and practical strategies for creating a supportive environment.

    What kind of support can I expect for implementing these strategies in my workplace?

    All attendees can gain access to our autism service helpline. Our trained autism advisors can offer further and specific advice and support. They can also provide resources for yourself, friends and families, or clients you are supporting. Contact details will be shared during the course.

    Are there any prerequisites or prior knowledge required for this course?

    No, there are no prerequisites or prior knowledge required for this course. It is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn more about autism and create a more inclusive environment.

    Will there be opportunities for Q&A during the course?

    Yes, there will be dedicated time for questions and answers during the course.

    Is this training a part of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism?

    No, but our comprehensive training complements the Oliver McGowan training, offering valuable insights into autism, neurodivergence, and practical strategies for creating inclusive environments.

    Will I receive a copy of the training materials afterward?

    We are happy to provide them upon request after the course.

    Will I receive any certification or documentation after completing this course?

    While there is no official accreditation or certification for this course, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills to better understand and support autistic individuals. Upon request, we can provide a certificate of completion.

    Autism Awareness Course:
