Autism Berkshire Supporting Teenagers with Autism workshop BRACKNELL
These tailored sessions focus on communication, social skills and mental health to support parents and carers of teenage children with autism spectrum conditions who were diagnosed while attending nursery or primary school.
The workshops are led by specialist psychologists and speech therapists from the Centre for Autism at the University of Reading who work with children and young people with autism spectrum conditions in Berkshire.
The sessions are for parents and carers of children aged 11+ with Asperger syndrome, or high-functioning autism and attend a mainstream school. Please note they are not suitable for parents of teenagers with a new or recent diagnosis of an autism spectrum condition.
Everyone attending will receive a handout pack containing a range of advice and information.
The sessions, which take place at venues across Berkshire, also offer the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends in your area.
