Autism & Interoception
Overview
Autism & Interoception Webinar
Interoception is our sense of what’s happening inside our bodies - things like hunger, thirst, pain, needing the toilet, or noticing emotions. For autistic children, differences in interoception can be particularly challenging, as they may struggle to recognise or interpret these internal signals.
In this webinar, we’ll explore:
- What interoception is and why it matters
- How interoceptive differences can affect autistic children and young people
- Practical strategies and tips to support interoceptive needs
- Ways to promote understanding and inclusivity at home, in education, and in care settings
Join us for this engaging and practical session, designed to provide valuable insights and tools for parents, caregivers, and professionals supporting autistic children.
