Event description

Description

This course is aimed at professionals in education, health and social work who are working with or supporting young children with a diagnosis of, or who are showing red flags for, autism spectrum conditions.

As well as providing an introduction to Pivotal Response Therapy (PRT), this 1 day event will also look in depth at how autism presents in the early years and how best to support children with these challenges using a well evidenced, practical approach that focuses on communication, social interaction and play skills.

PRT is currently one of the best validated approaches to support young children with autism to learn to talk and has a wide range of research evidence supporting the impact of PRT on social development.

This course will be delivered by Dr Ruth Glynne-Owen, founder and lead consultant at the Blue Sky Autism Project. Blue Sky is currently the only provider of PRT based early intervention in the UK.
