Saturday 8 th June 11.00 – 3.00: Four hours’ ppt training (with breaks) with opportunity for questions. This is a teaching session which aims to enable delegates to better understand how differently many people with autism think, process information and experience the world and how this impacts on approaches to therapy and counselling. We will hear from people with autism themselves as well as learning about the theories underlying autism and how these can explain many of the differences between autistic and neurotypical people. Fee: £115.00 for Saturday only.
Sunday 9 th June) 11.00 – 2.00 (Please note: attendance on Day 1 is a pre-requisite for attending Day 2) This is a three-hour session (with breaks) for those who attended the previous day’s training and who would like to discuss and explore problematic issues they are experiencing working with autistic clients or clients they have reason to believe have autism. Fee: £190.00 (for both days) Facilitated by Jenny Ronayne, Director of ASPECT, delegates can benefit from shared experiences and concerns, gaining insight and increasing their confidence and expertise in this field.
