Welcome to Autistic Pride Aberdeen Online! Hosted by Aurora Autistic Consulting, join us for an evening celebrating Autistic culture and community.
Following on from last year's success, during this event we are encouraging Autistic participants to come along and infodump about a favourite topic of their choosing, or simply enjoy listening to others! Whether it's with a Powerpoint, a tour of your favourite collection, or off the cuff, we can't wait to hear what you're passionate about! Autistics and allies welcomed in this neuroaffirming space.
Let's come together to celebrate our Autistic Pride!
Frequently asked questions

Absolutely! Last year we had participants from all over the world, everyone is welcome.
There is no obligation at all to share an infodump! As this is Autistic Pride we are only taking infodumps from Autistic participants. Some people came along last year with no intention of infodumping but then decided during the event that they would like to, but the decision is entirely yours!
This is a family friendly event and there may be children present so please bear that in mind! Last year we'd a huge range of topics including: Star Trek, Star Wars, Lego, animals, Dr Who, WWE, and much more. It is absolutely fine to talk about something that was discussed last year.
Yes! In addition to this event we will be back at Hazlehead Park, Aberdeen for more bubbles fun on Saturday 22nd June from 11-1pm. In addition to the bubbles, we will be reading from books by Autistic authors, sharing our Autistics Unleashed leaflet, and making friendship bracelets.
Absolutely! Non speakers are welcome to join in. You can submit something in advance or on the day and we are happy to read out or play pre recorded videos. All communication styles are valid.
Definitely, we support self identification, and we'd love to hear what you're passionate about!
Absolutely, all are welcomed! As it is Autistic Pride we are only taking infodumps from Autistic people but allies can attend and are encouraged to ask questions and join in the chat. We ask that allies respect our culture and communication style.
