Description

The conference is hosted by Keele University Psychology Department and Lifeworks Staffordshire, a charity for people aged 14+ with or without a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum condition.

This conference is for academics, professionals, students, Lifeworks carers and clients on the autistic spectrum (please be aware if they are not a client or carer of Lifeworks, or a student at Keele University, that there will be a £20 charge for the event, which includes lunch. The charge for academics and professionals will be £50)

The conference will discuss new areas of development including a presentation by Louise Zandian (CEO, Lifeworks) about a new qualification for teaching assistants and those working on a 1 to 1 basis with people on the autistic spectrum.

There will be a promotion of the Staffordshire Autistic Spectrum card and a discussion on disability hate crime.

There will be a presentation from Doctor Donna Berry (Keele University Psychology Department), also a talk from Doctor Pam Wood from the local Adult Diagnostic Service, and Doctor Luke Beardon (Sheffield Hallam University), with further speakers to be announced
