Event description
In this webinar, we explore which aspects of data preparation authoring can be automated, and illustrate some automation in action.

About this Event

Data preparation is essentially a programming task, whether using a programming language directly, or authoring workflows. However, developing data preparation in practice requires familiarity with both the application data and the relevant data preparation tools, and tends to involve making many fine-grained decisions. As a result, data preparation is labour-intensive. In this webinar, we review aspects of the programming task that are amenable to automation, and illustrate several in practice.

This webinar includes:

  • A review of data preparation tasks that are amenable to automation.
  • An outline of which vendors have automated the configuration of such tasks.
  • A demonstration of the automation of several tasks, using Data Preparer from The Data Value Factory.
  • Q&A.

  • Nikolaos Konstantinou, Co-Founder, The Data Value Factory.
  • Norman Paton: Co-Founder, The Data Value Factory.

Why should I attend?

  • Discover the potential for automation to reduce time to value.
  • Find out what products support some measure of automation.
  • See an example of automated data preparation in action.

  • 30-40 minutes.
