Programme:

'Build A Bot' Workshop:

Students will assemble the MiniBot Hardware Kit, a fast robot build perfect for learning and developing programming skills.

Teams of 3-5 will race against the clock to build and programme their MiniBots before entering their creations into the final showdown: completion of our custom obstacle course!

Building Robots - Two hours are allocated to build our First-Tech minibots

Moral Machine: Ethics of Autonomous Vehicles - Complete MITs quiz to see how your morality compares to the population as a whole and discuss the challenges of ethical programming in autonomous vehicles

Starship Q&A - Milton Keynes is home to the utterly adorable Starship delivery robots. We are delighted to welcome a VERY special guest and an opportunity to ask questions of the minds behind the machines.

Programming Robots - 1 hour is allocated to programming your First-Tech minibot to enter the obstacle course!

Obstacle Course - Minibots will enter our custom obstacle course to win the ultimate prize….

IMPORTANT: Terms and Conditions

• Spaces are limited. The capacity for this event is 50 students.
• Students will need to bring a packed lunch as food is not provided on site.
• The content of our Autonomous Vehicle Day is targeted towards students aged between 16-18 years (Secondary School Years 12 - 13).
• Whilst this event is free, schools must give 2 months notice if they will not be attending; this will enable their places to be offered to another school on the Waiting List. Failure to do so will incur a charge of £160.00.
