£375 INCLUDING MATERIALS

Course activities:WEEK 1 The history and origin of leather, traditional tools, differing types and usage of leathers, choosing leathers and developing patterns practice activities. Simple tooling techniques and creation of a key fob sewing and finishing, box saddle and butt stitch techniques.WEEK 2 Creating and developing pattern design fittings and construction. To glue or not to glue?!

WEEK 3 Cutting stitch marking hand sewing and riveting

WEEK 4 Sequence of construction basic elements

WEEK 5 Construction and Sewing

WEEK 6 Continuation of sewing finishing and completion.

The course objective is to give a constructive understanding of the leather process, design, construction and finishing principles.

Is the studio fully accessible?

Unfortunately the space is not full accessible - the toilet and some workshop / class space is up stairs on the first floor.

sustainably sourced hand-made leather goods, including bags, sheepskins, bespoke leather goods and sheepskins.

Rosie and Red both also offer art and leather workshops as a leisure pursuit.

The space accomodates art and lealther studios, workshops provision space and an exhibition space.

The teaching and exhibition space is avialable to to hire to other creative practitioners.
