Event description
Explore this beautiful reserve with local ornithologist Paul Holness, and learn to observe and identify the great variety of bird life.

About this Event

You will learn how to identify visiting bird populations as well as resident birds in the varied habitats of this reserve. Renowned local birder, Paul, will reveal some of the wonderful birds, such as shoveler, lapwing, goosander, bittern and goldeneye that enjoy the lakes as the weather grows cooler.

Suitable for beginners/less experienced. Please bring binoculars if you have them although some will be available to borrow from the centre. Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable warm, weatherproof clothing and stout footwear. It may be muddy.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the price, but as much of the time will be spent out on the Reserve, please bring any extra drinks and snacks you may require when away from the Centre.

When booking please ensure your email/contact address is correct as it will be used to send event joining instructions. If you do not receive these instructions after booking, please contact: wildlearning@suffolkwildlifetrust.org

For event enquiries call 01473 890089.

Please note bookings are non-refundable unless Suffolk Wildlife Trust cancels due to exceptional circumstances.

Please note our events will go ahead in all weather unless we deem conditions to be unsafe in which case we will contact you.
