Welcome to our Storytelling Thursday evening workshops in the Octagon Room at Meeting Point House!

This series of six workshops at 6-7.30pm every Thursday evening is for children and young people aged 8 to 14 from across Telford to be able to come together and experience the joy of co-creating stories in groups with guidance and inspiration from a pool of passionate local performing specialists.

There will be workshops on storytelling, movement, puppetry, music all weaved together amongst tried and tested drama exercises and teaching which improve a plethora of communication skills. Hannah de Quincey our resident drama specialist and the Moonstruck Astronaut team of associate artists will be sure to make sessions engaging, nurturing and filled with wonder.

The workshops will end in a demonstration by participants of what they have discovered about storytelling, helping them put their storytelling skills to the test in front of a friendly audience of family and friends!

Funding – limited number of half-price places available:

We believe income should not be a barrier to access and we have done our best to keep costs to parents as economical as possible. As such, we have worked hard to reduce the cost of attending by securing national and local grant funding to help towards covering the costs of this co-creative youth arts project.

However, there are most likely still parents who will struggle to find the money to pay for the workshops.

As such, we have reserved funds to cover a limited number of 50% off places.

Please email us at admin@moonstruckastronaut.com if you need this financial help for your child to attend.

For those parents who would like to help, please consider subsidising the placement of a child who otherwise may not be able to attend. Please simply transfer any sum of money into the MA CIC account with the heading ‘OTHER CHILD’.
