About this event

Health • Personal health

A wonderful "sonic massage" for body and spirit, and an excellent peaceful re-set for mind and heart.

INSTRUMENTS: Gong, Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, and Chimes

HOW IT WORKS: Lie back and let the specially designed Sound Bath take you into a state of deep, therapeutic, restorative relaxation. The body holds onto our thoughts and emotions, which can become tension points and blockages over time. Sound healing relaxes and releases where your body needs it most at that particular time ... vibrational therapy is magical.

+++

This special sound bath happens as the sun is in the heart of the autumn season, with the focus on peace and wellbeing in the beautiful astrological sign of BALANCE: Libra.

The sound journey will focus on releasing body tensions and mind clutter, and returning to "HOME".

+++

As we transition into the HEART OF AUTUMN, this sound journey session is the perfect way to invite your body, mind, and spirit to fully embrace connection to releasing, to returning to rest.

+++

Benefits: reduce stress and anxiety, calm “monkey mind”, open blockages in the body, re-balancing hormones and nervous system, and supporting sleep and rejuvenation.

( see below for more details)

What to expect:

Wear comfy clothes, and bring something to lie on (mat or blanket), a pillow for your head or under your knees, and an eye mask or scarf. A light blanket is a nice idea, too, since the body tends to cool in deep relaxation.

No movement is involved, and no fitness level or previous experience is required. You simply lie back on a mat whilst experiencing a variety of sound instruments played in certain ways, combinations, and sequences designed to address:

  • Release stress and anxiety
  • Reduce muscle tension and physical pain
  • Improve mental clarity and focus
  • Support better sleep and digestion
  • Increase energy and positive mood-state

My sound healing work is backed by up-to-the-minute medical and scientific research AND the time-tested wisdom of ancient practices.

Sound is good medicine!

P S: let me know if sitting in a chair is more comfortable for you than getting down on the floor, and I will provide one.

Venue: the lovely, historic ETNA Community Centre in beautiful St Margarets, just over the bridge from Richmond. Free parking in the building's lot.

ETNA Community Centre is within easy walking distance of St Margaret’s Station, and 5 bus stops from Richmond Station (frequent service).

Bus stop Poplar Court is just around the corner on Richmond / St Margarets Road.

How Sound Therapy works:

Sound is literally energy that we can hear and feel! And sound therapies can be a powerful form of energy healing. Sound waves can connect or “entrain” with our brain waves to induce deep healing, and are often used in trauma therapy. This holistic practice works with sound wave frequencies to remediate the body's systems as an integrated whole.

Experiencing a Sound Bath can help return the body to a healthy state of "flow" by opening blockages in the body's systems, including circulatory, lymphatic, brain and nerves, endocrine (hormone), digestive, and immune. Plus sound vibrations can heal the body all the way down to the cellular level!
