For those who don’t know Bronagh from her yoga classes on the beach or at the Arcadia, or from one of her many roles in the community in Portrush, we asked her to share a bit about herself and her practices:
“My yoga journey began in my early twenties when I was working in NZ. I loved the fluid movement, the breath awareness and the head space it gave me after a busy day working. I continued to practice regularly through my pregnancies and then tried to snatch occasional moments of me time to get to a class in Flow Yoga, Belfast. When we moved to Portrush, I began to practice with Tanya Gillen in the beautiful Arcadia studio. She suggested I should do Yoga Teacher Training, something I had never considered. I took some time, did some research and then signed up for Flow Yoga Academy 200hr course over an 8 month period. This led to a deep nourishing dive into everything that is yoga: breathwork, mindful movement, meditation, lifestyle, ayurveda, philosophy and community and I continue onwards with this journey everyday, learning from the wonder of nature and this fabulous community that I am so privileged to be a part of.”
We are delighted that Bronagh will be offering the opportunity to join her for some yoga over the Swell Weekend.
