Event description
Joins us for a chance to slow down and reconnect with yourself and the natural seasons.

About this Event

Each season has its own feeling. The end of autumn is traditionally a time where many trees are shedding their leaves in preparation for winter.

So, this guided forest bathing walk is an opportunity to slow down, take a moment to explore how you are experiencing this particular time of the seasons and reconnect with your body and nature in a restorative way.

We will be in a small group and you will be guided through a series of prompts to experience nature through your senses. You will also have the opportunity to have some time for yourself as well as to share your experiences with the group.

For more information about forest bathing, please visit our website Our Connecting Ways.

Who is it for?

For anyone curious and open to experiencing nature and yourself in new, and often playful, ways. Anyone needing a bit of time off to slow down and reconnect with your body and senses.

These walks are for adults (18+)* and there are no particular physical fitness requirements to participate other than being able to walk slowly for about a mile over the course of two hours and, to be able to bend down and be able to sit on the ground.

Unfortunately, this site is not accessible for wheelchair users.

* Though if you are a person with a calm baby on a sling/wrap and want to join, please write me a note. I also offer family walks with smaller children separately, should you be interested in trying it with your kids, or 1:1.

Health & Safety and Conditions for Coming Along

Covid19 precautions:

We are following the government guidelines for covid19. So this forest bathing session will be socially distant and with a group total of six persons (this might change as the recommendations change). You are very welcome to wear a mask if that makes you feel safer, though it is not a requirement as we are outdoors all the time an keeping a distance. I do encourage you to please stay home if you have any symptoms.

Other relevant conditions:

Please let me know, prior to the walk, if there is anything, I should be aware of regarding your physical (i.e. mobility issues, epilepsy, plant allergies etc.) or psychological health, by writing to ourconnectingways@gmail.com. I might be able to accommodate for your needs when planning the route.

Acceptance of risk and responsibility:

Although forest bathing is a low-risk activity, any outdoor activity entails known and unexpected risks. So, by joining the walk you assume the full responsibility of your own well-being and safety during the walk.

Cancellation

We walk (light) rain or shine - but not in dangerous or overwhelming weather. So, the walk can be cancelled due to weather conditions. There is also a minimum of two (2) participants for a walk to take place.
