In case of wet weather will the event be cancelled?

We will try to go ahead with the event (rain proof clothing is recommended) but if the weather is too extreme we may have to cancel and a refund will be given.

What age is best for event?

All ages are welcome to attend and they'll be something for everyone to get involved with.

About this event

October is the start of the horticultural year and so it’s a wonderful time to get out into the garden and plant some bulbs as well as thinking about how you can take care of the wildlife over winter.

In this special event at the beautiful Within the Walls Garden Project in Whitwell, Hitchin families will be able to get involved in some planting and crafting whilst getting to enjoy this wonderful space.

Tickets are £7 per child and under 1’s are free. Adults don’t need a ticket.

We are lucky that Within the Walls Garden Project has a shelter but I would recommend bringing rain coats and wellies in case we have wet weather.
