About this event
Welcome to our Autumn mini retreat as part of the Patch Wellness Day!
Run by Beth Rivett-Carnac (Love Led) and Annalisa Thomas (Annalisa Wellness), we will be going on a beautifully relaxing, healing journey together, taking a break from our busy, demanding lives as we move into the Autumn season.
We will spend time in circle, facilitated by Beth, gently looking inwards, taking much needed time to reflect on where we are and what we need. There will be time to journal, and some time to share if you are called to, but equally time to stay silent if you prefer.
There will be warming drinks and delicious treats to enjoy.
We will then lie down and be bathed in sound by Annalisa, allowing ourselves to process whatever may have come up in the first half of the session, to deeply relax and enjoy the healing vibrations of the sounds.
At the end of the sound bath, we will offer gentle, relaxing touch for those open to it.
We hope you will leave this session feeling more open, calm, peaceful and relaxed.
Beth has been offering Women's Circles, Retreats and Reiki for many years. Annalisa has more recently trained in Sound Healing, and we met as expectant mothers on a pregnancy yoga course. We have been close friends ever since, and co-facilitating this work has always seemed a natural step for us. Most recently we co-facilitated a session at the Oh Shala festival, which was a beautiful combination of Watercolour, Circle and Sound.
We will send an email out with more details of what you need to bring etc nearer to the event, but some details here-
When: Sunday 19 October @ 15:30-17:00. Arrivals from 15:00
Where: Patch, Old Library Building, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BG . The Swan theatre car park is very close by, as is Easton street car park.
What to wear: Your comfiest clothes! We want you to feel comfy and cosy. Layers are a good idea as you’ll be lying down on your mat for some of the session and you might feel chilly.
What to bring: Please bring a journal and pen; a yoga mat or similar to lie on; a blanket; an eye mask if you like to use one; a couple of pillows or cushions, both to sit on and for under your head/legs when lieing down. Anything you might like to have with you to make you as comfortable as possible! And finally a bottle of water.
Please note, as a general rule, sound healing in a group context is very safe, as instruments are played off the body. The one main exception is for people with sound induced epilepsy (which is very rare), and for people experiencing acute mental health conditions. Additionally, during the first trimester (12 weeks) of pregnancy we also advise caution for working with healing sounds. If there is anything you would like us to know about before the session, please let us know, so we can adapt the session accordingly.
