Don your welly boots and come on an autumnal adventure through
The Heart of England Forest.
Armed with your scavenger list and footpath map, the whole family will enjoy a woodland wander as you aim to collect or photograph a complete set of autumnal treasures. Rummage through fallen leaves, search for acorns and spot different fungi. Look out for fieldfares & redwings returning to spend the winter in the UK, for the yellow brimstone butterfly and for small groups of roe deer gathering after a solitary summer. It's a quest open to everyone so all ages can soak in some autumnal fun and fresh air.
Break halfway through your adventure for a well earned hot chocolate and enjoy some warming homemade soup before completing the exciting route we've planned.
Lastly, no quest comes without rewards. We've prepared prizes for children to collect at the end of the hunt.
With registration between 11.30am-1.00pm in the Heart of England Forest car park at Barton, admission prices include your scavenger list, route map, collecting bag and a hot drink at the Colletts Farm refreshment stop. Homemade Soup and Jacket Potatoes will be availble for purchase. Suitable footwear for woodland walking should be worn. Allow 45 minutes to walk each half of the route with young children.
