This month, we’re thrilled to welcome the illustrator Maz Leyden to Picnic - Birmingham illustrator meet-up. She’ll be sharing insights about her work and creative journey.
Working from her studio near the Malvern Hills, Maz creates stunning patterns and artwork inspired by the natural world. She also runs her illustration studio, Fancy Features, and has partnered with global brands such as Google, Spotify, and IKEA.
Maz will kick things off with a short talk about her work, and then we’ll have plenty of time for a Q&A. Afterwards we will be getting involved in a drawing activity so please bring along your sketchbooks.
Then we will have a round-up of PICNIC news and will be launching a very exciting sponsorship for our community!

PICNIC is an informal meet up for illustrators in Birmingham supported by The AOI, a non-profit membership organisation for illustrators. The meet-up is open to all illustrators at any stage in their career.
