Event description

Description

For our Autumn Team Volunteering Day, we're heading to Bordon Inclosure. Please join us for a morning of fresh woodland air, making new connections, and important conservation work in the great outdoors.

Mission for the day

Our mission will be lending a hand to the Deadwater Valley Trust. Their conservation work helps to maintain Bordon Inclosure as an enjoyable place to visit and a healthy habitat for local wildlife. Lately, they're battling growths of Himalayan balsam, a plant which can harm other vegetation and the riverbanks - so we're going to help them clear it from the woodland. No previous conservation experience is necessary as the Rangers will guide the group. Please remember your sturdy boots and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We're going to get stuck in!

Volunteering

If you've never had the chance to try volunteering before, why not come along and see the difference that just one morning can make? You can ask about regular volunteering with the Trust if you're keen to continue, and Community First's Volunteer Service staff will be there to talk to about other local roles.

Booking and more info

Please book one free ticket per volunteer to help us keep track of numbers.
