Shape The Season - Autumn Vision Board Workshop with Soft Folk
Join us for an online workshop, welcoming Autumn by creating vision/action boards that focus on how we would like to feel in the coming months. What would you like more of? How would you like this Autumn to feel for you?
Together we'll take a look at what action boards are and why autumn is a wonderful time to be creating something like this together. We'll then be using imagery to create our own boards to help us set intentions for the season ahead.
You will need:
- One sheet of A3 paper or card (this will form the background of your action board)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- A selection of magazines, old books or other image rich resources and/or access to a printer
In the lead up to the workshop I'd like to encourage you to gather magazines or books rich in images or keep an eye out online for any images which jump out to you and save them ready for the workshop.
I'd strongly encourage you to participate in this workshop in a hands-on way with printed images and scissors. But you are welcome to join in and create a digital action board if you'd prefer.
You won't need masses of space for the workshop, but some room on a table to spread your images out would be helpful. I recommend leaving a little bit of time before we start to make a cup of tea, perhaps light a candle and to reduce distractions where possible. By carving out a little time in your evening for you, I hope you will leave feeling creatively nourished and inspired.
This workshop is led by artist Seraphina Neville. Seraphina's practise spans collage, screen printing and photography. She has hosted workshops at L.F Markey and with Yodomo at Greenwich Village Fete. She has worked on collage commissions for clients such as COS and Vogue and her work has been exhibited internationally, from the Royal Albert Hall in London to Pingyao International Photography Festival in China. Seraphina founded Soft Folk earlier this year to combine her experience and passion for creativity with her interest in mental wellbeing.
50% of your ticket cost will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
By participating in this workshop you are agreeing to be part of a non-judgemental and kind space. Any form of negative or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave with no refund issued.
