About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

Tyttenhanger Gravel Pits is situated in the shallow Colne Valley between St Albans and Hatfield. The site stretches from Colney Heath in the north to the Willows Farm Village theme park (near London Colney) in the south. It supports a range of wildlife habitat, and its wide variety of birds includes Yellowhammer, Reed Bunting and Linnets around at Willow Farm.

We hope to see a good number of Warblers along with some Autumn Migrants which could include Wheatear or Whinchat, Waders and Terns and many species of Warblers.

We will start the walk from Willow Farm Car Park 1 meeting near the Hay Bales.

It may be muddy depending on recent weather. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear. If possible please try and car share

We might take photos of the event to publicise future events. If you do not wish to appear in them, please let the leader know.
