4x 5cl samples will be offered (that's a double pub measure x4) with detailed explanation of each whisky from Matt as we walk and talk. Each of the whiskies has been hand-selected by them to tell a story and have a warming Autumnal theme.
Meet at Pond Square in Highgate village, N6 at 3pm. We will head off from there once all guest have arrived.
Bus routes 143, 210 and 263 stop very nearby and can be boarded at Archway (Northern Line / High Barnet branch). Highgate underground station (also Northern Line / High Barnet branch) is 12-15 minutes walk.
The walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will see us take in Highgate village before heading across Hampstead Heath. We will walk by the Highgate Ponds and Boating Lake, before heading across the Heath to the viewpoint overlooking the city.
We will finish in South End Green at The South End Green Social pub for a late-afternoon drink at approx. 4pm. Hampstead Heath overground station (Mildmay Line) is 2-3 minutes walk away. Belsize Park underground station (Northern Line - Edgware branch) is 10 minutes walk away.
* PLEASE NOTE | This is not a guided tour of Hampstead Heath but a whisky tasting event. It is a leisurely stroll to sample and learn about whisky, ask questions that you have always wanted to ask, sip and savour, and take in the scenery and fresh air.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
An individual North London Whisky Club hipflask for each guest (worth £10) will be provided, which is included in the ticket price and that you can take it home.
The group will be limited to ensure the health and safety of all guests and your host. Hand sanitiser will also be provided.
Please bring a bottle of water and we ask all guests to Drink Responsibly.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
Please dress appropriate to the weather forecast as we will be outside for the full duration of the walk. We keep our fingers crossed for a nice afternoon.
