How does it work?
Get your ticket in advance. This will give us an idea of how much clothing to expect on the day and lets us keep in touch with you with drop-off reminders and other details.
In the week leading up to the event, or on the day just before the event starts (10-11am), drop off up to 6 clean, good-quality kids’ clothing items to swap.
In return, you’ll be given one stamp per swappable item. On the day, exchange your stamps for a selection of useful new-to-you clothing.
We will check all items at drop off for quality (and seasonal relevance) to ensure a useful and enjoyable swapping experience for all. Please double check the list of clothing we accept (below) before selecting your items to swap.
Unwanted items will be either donated to a local children’s charity or kept for future swaps.
What kinds of clothes should I bring?
To ensure a feel-good event, please only bring clean, good quality things you’d be happy to take home yourself.
Please bring:
- Jumpers, trousers, long-sleeved tops, dungarees, dresses, skirts
- Winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves
- Wellies, winter shoes, trainers
- Warm nightwear and dressing gowns
- Halloween costumes and Christmas-themed clothing (max. 1 per household)
Please do not bring:
- Baby clothing and accessories (0–36 months)
- Stained, discoloured, ripped or otherwise unwearable clothing
- Underwear, swim wear and socks
- Spring/summer clothing (save it for our spring/summer swap!)
Dates and times for your diary
Drop offs in week before event
[More details coming soon. We will also share drop off dates and times with ticket-holders via email].
On the day
10:00: Last-minute clothing drop offs welcome. Grab a drink in the cafe while you wait for swap to open.
11.00: Swapping begins!
13.00: End of swap.
I have nothing to swap but would still like to get involved
That’s not a problem. Get a ticket on the door and shop the swap for £1 per item.
Is it just a swap?
Nope! The cafe will be serving hot/cold drinks and brunch/lunch items for adults and children. There will be also be a kids' corner, and a handful of other activities that we'll tell you more about nearer the time!
We hope to see you there. Please spread the word! The more clothes we have to swap the merrier.
All proceeds go towards supporting BS3 Community Development.
