About this event

Join artist-filmmaker Emily Hawes for an afternoon of experimental analogue filmmaking in response to Portland Bird Observatory.

The free workshop will include:

  • Basic introduction to shooting with standard 8 and super8 film
  • Experimental approaches to filmmaking, exploring the islands unique ecology and history
  • An opportunity to be part of a larger film project

Please note, we will be working outdoors and walking short distances close to the lighthouse along the South West Coast path. Therefore, it is advisable to wear suitable shoes for walking, and be prepared for changes in the weather (i.e. suncream/ hats/ water/ raincoat).
