Discussion Topics:
- Growing regulatory risks from vehicle emissions standards: Automakers that fail to meet their EU fleet targets face significant penalties, which may be challenging to swallow in the financial distress of the Covid-19 crisis. Which automakers have taken steps to reduce emissions and increase their electric vehicle sales to avoid EU fines?
- Workforce restructuring was already anticipated in the shift toward electric/hybrid vehicles but Covid-19 business impacts could accelerate this transformation. How are automakers navigating through the crisis and managing their human capital risk?
- Labor risks for airlines: The aviation industry faces short-term and long-labor management risks due to Covid-19. Which airlines are at highest risks, which companies are better positioned to navigate through the crisis?
