This course is the first step towards a professional qualification in post-16 teaching. Whether you are new to the teaching profession or an experienced facilitator wishing to get a formal qualification this course aims to develop your skills and knowledge.
On completion of the course you will receive the Aim Award in Education and Training at level three. The course covers three units:
The course covers the role of the teacher in facilitating learning and their legal responsibilities within a classroom setting. You will learn how to plan effective learning activities taking into consideration different learning styles, methods of delivery and assessment. The course will cover communication within the classroom and techniques to include and motivate the students you have.

Who is this course suitable for?
The course is for people looking to gain a formal teaching qualification. You can join the course with little or no experience but there are opportunities for those with more experience to accredit prior learning. Ask the tutor for more information.
You will need to demonstrate English at level two before starting the course. If you do not have a qualification then you can complete a short assessment before the course.
