The Journalism Conversation Series brings you the second Conversation of the year - a screening of award-winning documentary, A Cambodian Spring. This documentary has just been nominated for a BAFTA!

After the screening there will be a short 30-minute break followed by a Q&A with the director Chris Kelly and the monk, Luon Sovath. Venerable Luon plays an integral role in supporting undeserving communities - and faces danger and ostracising by his own Buddhist community.

Our guests will be interviewed by Professor of Journalism, Kurt Barling.

Screening: 12pm.

Q&A: approximately 2.30-3.30pm.

In addition to discussing some of the practicalities of how Chris Kelly put his film together, we will be discussing important issues raised by the documentary:

Parallels with this case study and other democratic uprisings across much of the Middle-East; imbalances of power and how we can continue to reach the truth; and the lengths that communities will go to to see justice served.
