The Green Pages cordially invites you to our Awards and Charity Gala dinner night, which takes place on Friday 4th November 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester.
The gala dinner is being held to support North Wales business woman Ghazala Jabeen with her ongoing campaign to fundraise for the charity and to raise awareness of the disease. Ghazala’s work for the charity began after the loss of her husband Harold Martin Swindells (aka Mr HMS) to the disease in 2014. His wish was to help people affected by pancreatic cancer through fundraising and to increase awareness of the disease’s symptoms. Ghazala has organised several fundraising activities that have to date raised over £5000 towards research into the disease.
The night will also include the inaugural Green Networking Awards which will celebrate the success of businesses involved in the health and wellbeing sector. North West-based businesses are welcome to put themselves forward for consideration or they can be nominated. Winners will be announced on the night.
Wirral based singer Tom Spence will be heading the line up of the evening. Tom, whose career highlights to date have included supporting world renowned classical singer Russell Watson, will be performing at the black tie dinner.
There will also be Jazz and Blues singer Becky Lee, award-winning Bollywood Burnout Dancers and raffles as well as a disco during the evening.
Tickets include a two course dinner and cost £55 each or £45 early bird rate if bought before the 1st August 2016. There are reduced rates for tables of 10 people or more.
The event is open to everyone with non-members welcome to attend the evening and all guests are asked if possible to wear something purple, the official colour of Pancreatic Cancer UK, as part of their outfit.
