About this event

This course is aimed at providing delegates with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

Suitable for everyone within a workplace, the course content includes a general look at what First Aid for Mental Health is. Delegates will study the impact of stress and how to recognise symptoms, and look at identifying and understanding mental health conditions, providing advice and starting a conversation.

The assessment for this course will be completed remotely. The professional discussion will be carried out between the learner and course tutor and the time allowed for this is one hour. Learners will be given an agenda and time to prepare for the discussion, where they will be supported to discuss all they have learned on the course.

This course is not applicable for young people under the age of 18.
