Important Information:

This is a 12-week (approx. 120 hours) Online Self-Study qualification course. It can be started anytime and accessed (via a learning portal) at times/days to suit you.

Register your interest and we will email you an application pack - learning cannot be started until these forms are completed and submitted.

Once all forms are submitted and approved we will send you further information on accessing the Learning Platform.

You can only apply for one course at a time however upon completion you can enrol on a further 2 courses per academic year.

Please note to enrol on this course learners must:

  • Be aged 19+ on the 31/08/2023
  • Live in the UK for 3 years/live in UK from EEA or have *pre-settlement or *Settled status from the Home Office (*proof required)
  • Due to Government funding criteria, we are unable to accept learners who live in Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Ireland or a devolved postcode areas. Please check with us if you are unsure.

Awareness of Mental Health Problems - Level 2 Qualification

This online self-study course allows you to study at your own pace at a time and day that is convenient for you, gaining a level 2 qualification.

Course Information:

Around 450 million people worldwide suffer from a mental health problem.

You can help tackle this challenge by increasing your knowledge with our level 2 certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

This course covers lots of different mental health problems, including stress, anxiety, phobias, depression, dementia, eating disorders and schizophrenia. You’ll learn about the signs and symptoms of different mental health conditions and how to manage them, as well as gaining an understanding of mental health legislation and guidance.

Course Content:

  • Develop understanding and appreciation of mental health conditions.
  • Learn about signs, triggers and symptoms of mental health.
  • Understand how mental health affects an individual’s ability to cope and function.
  • Examine guidance to potentially manage and support them with their illness.

How Will I Learn:

All learning will be online (self-study) and can be completed at a time that suits without the need to attend college. Dedicated tutors will provide written feedback on the assessments and ongoing remote support where required.

The course includes online learning materials in the form of interactive resources and flipbooks, a personalised login to access the online learning portal will be given on enrolment.

Each learner will be given a virtual online induction, candidates will be provided with learning and assessment materials that have been developed to support individuals to meet the qualification requirements.

You can only apply for one course at a time however upon completion you can enrol on a further 2 courses per academic year. It can take up to 12 weeks to complete a course

Once you have completed the application paperwork, we will contact you with dates for the induction, this will be online and give you chance to ask any questions.
