Awesome Tech Workshop with Martin Evans and Philip Thompson

Digital Maker CIC (Martin Evans & Phil Thompson) teach people about computing, electronics, design and emerging technologies. Martin & Phil started working together on creating interactive art installations & have won funding & contracts from Aberdeen City Council, the Prince’s Trust and Edinburgh Science festival to name a few. Working primarily, but not exclusively, with children, Digital Maker run workshops using affordable electronics and accessible technologies for participants to “play with” as they learn key skills in modern technological developments. Creativity is a core element of their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) teaching, adding “art & design” to the mix encourages participants to build confidence and entrepreneurial flair for an exciting future involving tech.
STE(A)M – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics with Digital Maker CIC. “Awesome Tech” workshops gives you the chance to play & learn using Raspberry Pi computers & supporting technology. From building your first game in Scratch to controlling Steve in MineCraft with Python programming, robotics and electronics to creating 3d printed models, there’s something for all young & inquisitive minds. Martin & Philip will be running three 90 minute workshops for up to 12 people per workshop (age 8+), so If you fancy having a tinker with some cool & fun technology, book now!
