AWS Builders Track
Event Information
Description
The AWS Builders track is a free, half-day technical event delivered by AWS Technical experts where developers will learn about some of the hottest topics in cloud computing, and get deep dives into AWS services. Join us for hands-on technical sessions and live demos as well as networking with AWS experts and your peers.
Agenda
13.30 - 14:00 Registration
14:00 - 15:00 AI: State of the Union
Whether you are a data scientist, ML researcher, or developer, AWS offers machine learning services and tools tailored to meet your needs and level of expertise. Developers can easily add intelligence to any application with a diverse selection of pre-trained services that provide computer vision, speech, language analysis, and chatbot functionality. They can also leverage the Deep Learning AMI or Amazon SageMaker, which enables data scientists and developers to quickly and easily build, train, and deploy machine learning models with high-performance machine learning algorithms, broad framework support, and one-click training, tuning and inference. Whether you're just getting started with AI or you're a deep learning expert, this session will provide a meaningful overview of how to get started with Artificial Intelligence with the AWS cloud.
Level: Getting Started (200)
15:00 - 16:00 Amazon Container Services: Highly scalable, easy to use container management and registry services
Containers are an increasingly important way for developers to package and deploy their applications. AWS offers multiple container products to help you deploy, manage, and scale containers in production: Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) is a fully-managed container orchestration service; Amazon ECS for Kubernetes (EKS) is a managed service that makes it easy for you to run Kubernetes on AWS; Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) is a fully-managed Docker container registry; AWS Fargate is a technology for deploying and managing containers without having to manage the underlying infrastructure.
Level: Deep Dive (300)
16:00 - 16:30 Break
16:30 - 17.30 Serverless Architectural Patterns
As serverless architectures become more popular, AWS customers need a framework of patterns to help them deploy their workloads without managing servers or operating systems. This session introduces and describes five re-usable serverless patterns; web apps, stream processing, big data and automation. For each, we discuss the considerations and nuances associated with each pattern.
