Description

Following the success of the AXA Health Tech & You Awards Launch in October - we ae running another event in January to announce our partnership with eHealth Hub and the launch of a new Challenge! eHealth Hub is an EU-funded initiative that provides long-term support to ecosystem stakeholders and addresses key challenges facing European SMEs in the digital health space.

We invite you to join us for an inspiring evening of panel discussions, exhibitions and demonstrations with pioneers and experts in the health tech space, with food, drinks and networking amongst key individuals in the industry.

Dr Mike Short, Chief Scientific Adviser from the Department for International Trade and Sylvie Donnasson from eHealth Hub will lead a discussion on Global Britain and the future of health in Europe. Reema Patel, Programme Manager at the new Ada Lovelace Institute will join our experts from the AXA Health Tech & You Expert Group to share perspectives on ethics, equity and trust in health tech. Please scroll down for full agenda.

The evening will update everyone on the AXA Health Tech & You Awards, celebrating entrepreneurs who are providing the most valuable, trusted innovations for consumers in the marketplace. Now in its fifth year, the AXA Health Tech & You Awards has created two categories in 2019 to recognise entrepreneurs in both early-stage start-ups and later stage businesses who are changing the way people think about their health, while helping to solve the big problems in healthcare:

  • The first Innovation category recognises pioneers in early-stage start-ups

  • The second Excellence category recognises entrepreneurs leading later-stage businesses

Our New challange for 2019 is focusing around mobility and accessibility for older citzens.

These new categories are underpinned by principles embracing diversity, health equality and social inclusion. Entries will be judged in accordance with how the entrepreneurs have succeeded in making a difference to people’s lives through their innovative approach and attention to creating solutions to address significant unmet consumer needs.

Overall, the 2019 AXA Health Tech & You Awards programme is looking for standalone solutions to help citizens take charge of their health and wellbeing, as well as smart applications that enrich the relationship between people and their careers (whether health professionals, friends or family).

AXA is working with Collider Health and The Bakery, with support from our other partners including Women of Wearables, One HealthTech and Our Mobile Health to discover exciting and innovative health technology.
