This session is designed to give you a taste of all things woodturning.

It will cover the basics to get you started and is perfect for those who are considering taking up woodturning as a hobby.

The session will cover:

  • PPE and extraction options for woodturning
  • What to look for in a lathe, its components and how to set it up
  • Lathe accessories and tools for turning
  • Mounting blanks and workpieces
  • Individual tool use, tool presentation and an overview of basic turning techniques

You will have the opportunity to get hands and ask our instructors questions as you go.

This session is aimed at those who are new to woodturning and what to have a go.
