Description

What if the radiance of the stars held the story of you? Jyotish means the “science of light,” and it is the story of your evolving soul written in the stars. As a sister science to Yoga and Ayurveda, Jyotish is one of the most profound and efficient tools for recognizing the uniqueness of you, your gifts, your purpose, and your health tendencies.

Ayurvedic Jyotish, also known as Ayurvedic Astrology or Ayur Jyotish, is a specialized branch of astrology that integrates the principles of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, with astrological practices. It aims to provide insights into an individual’s health and well-being by analyzing their birth chart in conjunction with Ayurvedic principles.

Working with Ayurveda’s understanding of the doshas (bio-energies) – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha – which govern various physiological and psychological functions in the body, Ayur Jyotish practitioners assess the planetary positions at the time of a person’s birth to understand his or her inherent constitution (prakriti) and potential health imbalances (vikriti) as well as the timing in which these may manifest throughout their life.

By examining the influence of celestial bodies on these doshas and their associated organs and systems, Ayurvedic Jyotish practitioners can offer insights into potential health issues, tendencies, and remedies. They may consider planetary placements, aspects, houses, and planetary periods (dashas) to make assessments about an individual’s health and well-being.

Remedies prescribed in Ayurvedic Jyotish often align with Ayurvedic practices and may include dietary recommendations, lifestyle modifications, herbal treatments, gemstone therapy, mantra chanting, yoga practices, and specific rituals aimed at restoring balance and harmony to the body and mind.

Ayur Jyotish is deeply rooted in ancient Indian traditions and continues to be practiced by those who value its holistic approach to health and well-being. However, like other forms of astrological medicine, its efficacy is not universally accepted within the scientific and medical communities, and it is often viewed as complementary or alternative in nature.

While it is a deep science that takes many years to master, this session will share basic insights that can nourish your self-understanding and shine light on the star that you are.
