Description
Paul and Monique worked together to articulate data protection requirements so that a delivery team would be able to implement solutions in a Home Office law enforcement technical project.
In this session, Paul will provide an introduction to elements of Data Protection compliance and how they impact individuals and organisations with specific reference to the Home Office.
Paul and Monique will share experiences of working together to establish project requirements, discussing challenges and lessons learnt in the process and providing useful resources to inform organisations approach to Data Protection.
Speaker bio
Paul Skipp is a Data Protection Practitioner at the Home Office. Prior to working with Border Force, Paul served as a detective with the Metropolitan Police Service. He then worked on data protection related issues in Home Office Professional Standards and data sharing agreements with Border Force International. He also worked with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Criminal Justice projects in the Caribbean, Security and Visa risk roles in Nigeria and Pakistan respectively.
Monique Ho is an award-winning management consultant driven by the vision of building a more effective and happy workplace for people to enjoy what they do. She has solid experience in corporate innovation, business analysis, business change, organisation design and cybersecurity. Outside of work, she is a seasoned hacker and mentor in various hackathons.
