This 1 ½ hour session looks at your child’s speech and language development and how communication is more than just words.

This session is face-to-face. Tickets are free and spaces are limited. Please let us know if you are unable to attend, so the space can be used for others.

What is this session for?

Families with children aged 9 months to 5 years (you are welcome to bring them along!)

What does this session cover?

  • Encouraging talk through chat, play, and reading
  • Developing attention, listening, and understanding skills
  • Supporting speech sounds
  • Fun activities like songs and games
  • Importance of sounds and gestures

N.B. This session is open to all parents and carers of babies and children registered with a Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust (formerly Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust) Health Visiting team. Excluding Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight Health Visiting services.
