Baby and Child Choking and CPR training session being held at Playtime! playcentre in Bury.
According to research by St John Ambulance, 40% of parents have witnessed their own baby choke, yet over 80% of these parents had no idea what to do in such a situation. This is an alarming statistic, especially when you consider that an average of 34 children are treated for choking on food every day.
In order to combat this staggering issue, we have created a training session that will show you a very easy way to save a choking baby or child and also what to do if they stop breathing. You will get the opportunity to put your new skills into practice with our realistic Resusci Baby and Junior Dolls.
We all know that infants and babies will put anything and everything into their mouth, so this training is incredibly resourceful for those with small children.
These sessions take place across the Northwest.
• What to do if your child stops breathing and becomes unconscious
• How to relieve a baby or child from choking
• Prevention and aftercare.
All our sessions are friendly and informal and all are welcome. Please be aware you will be required to perform a physical activity if you are not able to bend down on hands and knees please let me know.
We ask that babies and children do not come to the session for their own safety which is our number one priority.
Gift cards are available to purchase for friends/family and other care givers of your children to attend this course.
