Becoming a parent can feel beautiful and overwhelming all at once. That’s why these 5-week Baby Massage Courses in South London are not just about learning strokes — they’re about creating a safe, nurturing space for you and your baby to connect, be understood, and feel supported.
Led by Maru, a certified Baby Massage and Aware Parenting Instructor, these sessions combine the soothing practice of baby massage with guidance rooted in years of experience supporting parents and babies. More than just a class, this is a place to slow down, listen deeply to your baby, and gain tools and insights that can bring more ease and confidence to everyday parenting.
Designed for parents with babies from birth to 12 months, the course helps you:
- Deepen your connection through gentle massage.
- Understand your baby’s unique cues around sleep, crying, and comfort.
- Enjoy the many benefits of skin-to-skin contact for both you and your baby.
What’s included:
- 🌿 Organic cold-pressed massage oil, gentle on delicate baby skin.

- 📖 A comprehensive booklet to support massage at home.
Course details:
Location: Mica Yoga, Nunhead, SE15 2AS (accessible from Peckham, East Dulwich and Brockley)
Time: Mondays, 11:00 – 12:15 PM
By a Certified Infant Massage Instructor by IAIM (the only international association dedicated solely to infant massage).

It’s a warm, supportive space to relax, bond, and share your parenting journey. Each session combines practical massage techniques with time for discussion, offering connection with other parents, a place to slow down, listen deeply to your baby, and gain tools and insights that can bring more ease and confidence to everyday parenting.

Absolutely! The course is suitable up to 12 months. While having a more mobile baby has its pros and cons, I’ll teach you how to adapt the massage techniques to suit their age and stage.
Yes, the course is suitable for babies from week 1, though it’s most recommended to start from week 3 onwards. You’re welcome to join whenever you feel ready!
The course takes place in the downstairs studio, in a bright, spacious ground-floor studio, with soft natural light and a welcoming, homely atmosphere. The room is temperature-controlled, so it’s always kept at the perfect warmth for babies to be comfortable during massage.
Each session builds on the techniques learned the previous week, so if you miss one, just email me and I’ll be happy to help you catch up. I can spend a few minutes demonstrating the strokes you missed to ensure you stay on track.
Yes, partners and grandparents are welcome to join the sessions (and watch or practice). Because the focus is on nurturing touch, I recommend only primary caregivers massage the baby. Just let me know in advance so we can accommodate everyone comfortably.
