Back Home rehearsed reading
Fri 21 October 2016, 19:30 – 22:30 BST
Back Home is a play that explores the topic of homophobia in Jamaica. It focusses on the stories of Johnny, an asylum seeker who has fled Jamaica and starts to care for Millie, an eldery Jamaican woman who lives alone with her boxes and memories. Through their relationship, they tackle prejudice and isolation and ponder whether peace can be found by going 'Back Home'. This is a script-in-hand reading, and the audience will be invited to take part in a discussion and give the writer feedback at the end.
