Zips seem to challenge even the more confident of sewers, there is no doubt patience and practise is required to gain the skills to sew a PERFECT ZIP.
In this workshop we will guide you through the different types of zips choosing the right one for your projects and fabrics. You will learn the skills required to sew and insert a zip, including the specific foot attachments needed. The techniques you learn will allow you to add zips into cushions bags and much more. All material and equipment will be provided on the day.
Your tutor will give you some valuable techniques to achieve professional results every time. During your session you will create reference examples and a zipped pouch with a zipped Internal pocket.
Suitable for those who have basic sewing experience and have complete at least 2/3 projects (not for Absolute Beginners)
Your tutor for this class will be Jodie Sanderson. Jodie works with ReTweed as a course tutor and works with our volunteers. She has had her own craft business and is fashion graduate of Newcastle College and Northumbria University.
