Event description

Description

Backlisted host a special edition of their much-loved podcast live. Designed to give new life to old books, hosts Andy Miller (author of a Year of Reading Dangerously) and John Mitchinson (QI author and co-founder of Unbound) have been doing just that for almost two years now alongside a host of authors. Joining them for this instalment is best-selling author Mark Haddon who has chosen Virginia Woolf’s Jacob’s Room to discuss with the Backlisted gang.

This is our first of three very special events in October to celebrate Unbound as Blackwell's Broad Street's Publisher of the Month. You can find info on other Unbound events here:

ON SALE FROM OUR RARE BOOKS DEPARTMENT

The first Swedish translation of Jacob's Room

Though Kirkpatrick does not state as much, this would appear to be the first translation of any of Woolf’s novels. The cover design is attractive and appropriate, echoing the work of Vanessa Bell.
